You might be wondering why I titled yesterday's post Mabel, or if you're at all like me you probably didn't notice! I'd like to think that maybe the ghost lady's name was Mabel, that seems like an appropriate fit, doesn't it!? But in fact, Mabel Lou was born yesterday to my good friend Heather and she is a sweetheart, Congrats to her family.. in fact Grandma Donna lives pretty close to the little "gingerbread house" I visited today!
I'd like to say something exciting happened, or I caught an image of an old lady in one of my pics, but as you may have already guessed... nothing!! It was such a cute darn house it made me gag, (litearlly, I had my pen in my mouth too long). Anyway, the only thing that may have been a bit strange was the basement.
It was COLD down there, the temp dropped at least 20 degrees, in fact Brenden noticed it first. At first I was thinking, great cold cellar, I'm sure it stored a lot of canning back in the day, and it would make a great wine cellar!.. then I thought of that movie with Bruce Willis in it.. you know the one.. the one with the kid in it.. and it got really cold when she was sleeping...so I bolted up the stairs and we headed to the Farr Side for lunch!
Cheese curds and a tap... a great way to toast both Mabels!
